A Safe Site? or asafesite.com is a website that can scan any website for security issues including malware and blacklisting. It is free at the time of this writing, though feel free to update me whenever there are some changes on this website.
It is lightweight and very easy to use. Just enter the site you wanted to scan on the url field and press Scan Site button to scan that website. After a brief query, it will show you the scan results including the information if the site is blacklisted, if it contains malware, if it issues a computer threat and identity threat, and the annoyance factor, although the last part – the annoyance factor, kinda baffles me as to how they measure this one. The scan also shows website details like the Domain host’s IP address and the SSL Security (if there is any) being used. It also shows if there are adsense scripts, as well as display the links found on that scanned site’s page and the javascripts running in the background. Moreover, it automatically connects you to several other security checkers including Google Safe Browsing, Norton Safe Web, SiteAdvisor (McAfee), and Yandex (via Sophos).
Finally, it provides you with Trust Seals, coming from asafesite itself, and from another Trust Seal provider Trust-Guard, though you may have to pay for the latter.
WOT Issue
For some reason, Web of Trust, otherwise known as WOT, rates this site poorly although it came out clean on Google Safe Browsing, Norton Safe Web, SiteAdvisor, and Yandex.
